Mukesh Ambani launched Jio phone as ‘India ka smartphone’ at an unbelievable price of Rs 1,500. In Indian smartphone market even a basic phone costs around Rs 2,000 with basic features. Reliance Jio completely shocked everyone with phone launch having features of a smartphone. The Jio phone is priced for a fully refundable amount of Rs 1500 after three years.
Features of smartphone in Jio phone
Reliance Jio completely aims to disrupt smartphone manufacturers with its latest offering. Jio phone fully utilises 4G network and supports Jio apps like Jio Cinema, Jio TV and Jio Music. Jio Phone even supports video streaming to TVs through a separate cable. It means you can watch any content or Jio TV over your TV (even an old CRT TV).

Support for Voice Commands
Jio phone also has support for Voice commands like ‘OK Google’ in Android smartphones. With this unique feature, you can say commands and Jio Phone will launch same. Like saying ‘Call XYZ’ will make a call to XYZ or saying play trailer of Bahubali will play trailer of the movie. With its familiar design and standard features of the basic phone, Jio phone is easy to use for each age category.
Ambani said there are more than 50 crore basic phone users in India but they can’t utilize the power of data as they can’t easily afford smartphones or high cost of data. Jio phone solves both issues and provides them in feature packed phone.
Monthly recharge and TV pack
Users need to pay Rs 153/month for unlimited calls, data, and SMS. For cable TV support users need to pay Rs 309/month. Apart from that Jio also introduced small packs, at Rs 24 for 2 days and Rs 54 for a week.
