How to use two apps on the same screen with Split screen in Android 7.0 Nougat
Android 7.0 Nougat comes with a special feature known as ‘Split Screen’. Here we are explaining how to use two apps on the same screen with ‘Split screen’ in Android 7.0 Nougat. Using two apps at the same moment can be a good idea if you are a multi-tasker. The ‘Split screen’ divides your screen into two portions which can be used to drag two different apps.
If your phone is not updated to Android 7.0 Nougat, then you need to check updates availability from ‘Settings’. You can either sideload Nougat OS or update it manually by rooting your phone. If you are not familiar with rooting smartphone, you need to move ahead carefully as this completely wipes out all data. The warranty can also be void as the bootloader is unlocked and you are restricted for further updates by the phone manufacturer.
Steps involved in ‘Split screen’ are as below:
1. First of all open both apps that you want to use simultaneously.
2. Press ‘Task manager’ left key or icon as per your phone.
3. Now you can see, ‘Split screen’ option at the top of your smartphone.
4. Drag one app to the top area and second one to the later.
5. You can also resize area as per your requirement to both apps.
Now you are ready to work on both apps in real time. For eg, you can watch Youtube videos on top and browse the web in another area.
Split screen functionality is a great feature which can be used on large screen phones or tablets. Nowadays, most of the phones come with decent specifications that can handle several apps at a time. RAM ranging up to 6 GB in smartphones nowadays shows how smartphones have evolved from a ‘piece to call’ to a ‘Supercomputer’ in a pocket.
