How to run Windows apps on UBUNTU through ‘Wine’ emulator
Here, we will be explaining how to use windows apps on Ubuntu through ‘Wine’ emulator & installing other softwares via Ubuntu software center.
You loved an app on windows but not able to find same flavour on Ubuntu, ‘WINE’ emulator comes as rescue which runs windows apps smoothly as per compatibility policies of software.
First of all, Open Ubuntu software Center either through left side menu or searching within programs.
Type Wine in search box and install it ,there might be some dependencies of other additional files, install them too.
Right click on your software exe file and click ‘Open with’ WINE and install it by following onscreen instructions. If windows app has proper WINE support, it will run smoothly.
Next, we will be explaining, how to install various other softwares available in ubuntu software center. Here we are installing VLC media player, just search for it and click install. Your installed app will appear on left side of Dock.
